Why have you decided to close the clinic?

We’ve learnt a lot since we opened in December 2017, both from operating the clinic and from our amazing team and clients.  However, one of the key learnings is that the clinic would need to be part of a bigger footprint in order to continue delivering services and achieve long-term success. As a result, we’ve taken the difficult decision to close the clinic.

I bought a membership package – what happens to me?

Everyone who joined our membership scheme has been contacted directly and the full membership fee has been refunded – even if services have been used.

My employer told me I could use your service – what can I access now?

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to visit Virgin Care Private any more. We’ve been in touch with your employer to confirm this, so they should update information you can access internally. However, you’ll need to check with your employer about what other similar services you can access. If you require further information then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0300 247 0121.


I use Virgin Care’s NHS services – how does this affect me?

There is no impact at all on the publicly funded services run by Virgin Care – you can keep using those services. Find out more about them at

What will happen to the actual clinic now?

The clinic has closed and we won’t be seeing any more patients. If you’re interested in the property please call us on 0300 247 0121.

How can I access an appointment with a PAYG GP now?

There are other providers of private GP services in Birmingham available. For consultants, we’d recommend finding a clinician on Doctify.

How can I access my medical records

Medical records relating to your treatment at Virgin Care Private are stored securely within our clinical system and will be retained for four years for adults and 22 years for children. Please refer to the updated privacy notice on our website for more information.

 If you would like a copy of your records, you can request online through our privacy portal or contact customer services on 0300 247 0121 who will arrange for someone to call you back.
